The much awaited ‘Dandiya nite’ of Study Hall, Gomti nagar was organized on 29 Oct, 2013. All efforts had been made to recreate the land of the ‘Dandiya Dance’- Gujarat. The school bore a festive look. Teachers and students were seen moving anxiously, to give final touches to their creative efforts. The stage was tastefully decorated with Rangoli and flowers. The atmosphere was of fun and exuberance.
The ceremonial lamp was graciously lit by Dr. Urvashi Sahni, the CEO of Study Hall, along with the Principal and the other Heads of the school.
The evening had several enchanting dance performances by the students. All of them were grooving to the music. However, the most exhilarating dance performance was by the ‘Super Moms’.
Various food stalls had been set up along with Astrologer, Tatoo and Mehndi. The stall, with a display of ethnic clothing by ‘Didis’ was also a great attraction. DJ entertained with repetitive doses of popular music. He had the students and thestaff literally dancing to his tunes.
Overall, it was a well organized, well planned and a very enjoyable evening.
