Fruit and Vegetable Market Expedition

One afternoon of August, children of Secondary B group of DOSTI were taken to a nearby Fruit and Vegetable market. The whole idea behind this activity was to make the children aware of the importance of nutrients that they get from the food they consume like fruits, vegetables, cereals etc. During the expedition the teachers imparted a great deal of knowledge to the children that various parts of different plants or fruits and vegetables are edible. The children were also acquainted with various spices and their usage in the daily preparation of food. The whole expedition acted as a practical experience of what the students studied in their classroom.
