Unacknowledged<\/h2>\n

Unwanted
\nWhen X and X chose one another,
\nIt made her a girl.
\nBlamed for this catastrophe was the mother,
\nAnd so the torment began to unfurl.<\/p>\n

Unsafe
\nHer first trial was survival,
\nIn the womb itself, if she could remain concealed
\nRight up till her arrival
\nAnd then, her true worth was revealed.<\/p>\n

Unloved
\nArguments were fought so that she wouldn\u2019t be thrown.
\nAn object she was to be, a lifeless barely breathing commodity
\nRaised in the shadows, trying to atone
\nFor sins unknown to her, a tear in plea<\/p>\n

Unequal
\nHer brother waved at her as he left for school
\nShe wiped her small forehead while doing the dishes
\nTender fingers, hands equally able to hold a pencil, her education is overruled
\nHome is where her mind shall be even if it is against her wishes.<\/p>\n

Unacceptable
\nWe are women and men of a modern age
\nThe women\u2019s rights movement began centuries ago,
\nWars started and they ended. How many more do we wage?
\nTill we go crazy and so does the ratio?<\/p>\n

We ought to understand, we ought to feel
\nToday it was her; tomorrow it\u2019ll be me?
\nWe have been scarred enough, lets try and heal
\nI demand it despite everything and so would she.<\/p>\n
