Prerna students win everyone’s heart.

The annual Prerna Concert – Chu Le Aasman – got off to a colourful start with the inauguration of the Art and crafts exhibition. Paintings made students of class 6 to 12 were displayed in the exhibition.

Welcoming guests to the concert the Principal of the Prerna Girls School said that Prerna is an endeavor to empower the girls. She also shared how 18 Prerna Girls had gone on complete Visharad (graduation in music).

This was followed by a soulful rendition of the song Hamari Hain Mutthi Mein Aakash Sara

Pre-primary students performed a heart-melting dance on a medley.

Other highlights of the first day of the Prerna Concert included – play titled Macchar Ram by prep class, dance by class 2. Three other plays were also staged on the occasion.

They included Ekta mein Bal by class 3, E-jungle by Prerna Boys and the mouse wedding by class 4. Sporty recitation by class 1 students was also held.

The concluding ceremony started with the parents of Prerna Girls sharing their experience.

This was followed by a vote of thanks by Dr. Urvashi Sahni. She talked about how important it was for parents to attend the function and cheer their children.

Meritorious students felicitated during Study Hall School’s convocation

The Convocation Ceremony of the Study Hall School started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest Prof Nishi Pandey here on Thursday. This was followed by a soulful rendition of violin by Prapti Jain a student of the school.
Principal of the school Ms Shalini Sinha addressed the gathering and welcomed the graduating students and the guests.
She also shared the results of the previous academic session. Ms. Sinha spoke of how Study Hall a student had gone on to top the all India NIFT exam, two students had cleared the PMT exam and many had secured admissions top colleges in India.
She then called on Prof. Nishi Pandey to the stage.
Prof. Pandey spoke highly of the Study Hall School and then she recalled how what she had learnt in school has always stayed with her. She told the gathering that school just gives us information and it is the students who have to convert it into knowledge and then it’s leads to wisdom.
She congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be compassionate.
Various cultural performances also added colour to the ceremony.

 

 

 

Study Hall Carnival a big hit

Much fanfare marked the Study Hall Carnival 2016 held here in Saturday.
Fun and games made sure the kids had a good time and kept playing till the carnival drew to a close.
Games like Long Flight, Just Ring It, Stick and blow were great Hits among those visiting the school on a sunny afternoon. Ratio making, plane flying and the Didi’s food stalls attracted the most crowd.
More than 2500 students and parents alike participated in the Carnival.
Students and parents from Study Hall School, Prerna Girls School and Prerna Boys School participated in the event.

CFL’s Srijan gets overwhelming response

The Center for Learning’s (CFL) annual art exhibition cum sale – ‘Srijan’ – was organised from 21st to 24th October, 2016. Paintings and craft pieces made by CFL students were put on sale. The exhibits included furniture, interior decor, paintings, and designer fabric pieces. The event was inaugurated by the President and CEO of the Study Hall Educational Foundation, Dr. Urvashi Sahni along with the heads of various divisions of the foundation, on the  21st  October, 2016. The four-day event caught the eye of the who’s who of Lucknow city as many exhibits were bought by the visitors. Srijan proved to be a great source of encouragement for CFL students.

Convocation Ceremony held at Center for Learning

The convocation ceremony of Study Hall Center for Learning was organised on 8th October 2016. All students of classes of 10th and 12th of 2015-2016 batch were felicitated on the occasion. The topper of the class 12th, Aishwarya Laxmi Pandey and Harleen Kaur of class 10th were felicitated along with the subject toppers of both the classes. All the other students who had appeared from this center were also felicitated on this occasion.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Urvashi Sahni, President and  CEO of the Study Hall Educational Foundation. She delivered a powerful opening speech and welcomed the students and their families alike. This was followed by some inspirational words from our Principal, Dr. Pratima Srivastava. The complete picture of vision and working of Study Hall Center for Learning was presented and parents were also enlightened with the success stories of the students of the center. The ceremony also exhibited two performances. The first one being an Indian classical vocal performance, followed by a contemporary western dance. The recent alumni of the center shared their success stories, also the proud parents thanked the Center for Learning for its immense support and motivation.

Not just this, but Study Hall also got officially affiliated with the NIOS Board and got upgraded to an accredited centre to hold NIOS exams.

​Happy Colours of Freedom – 2016 

Study Hall School Campus was ablaze with happy colours of freedom and spirited with spectacular festivity as the Study Hall Educational Foundation family celebrated 70th Independence Day, 15 th August 2016.
Students and Staff from Study Hall School, Prerna Girls School, Dosti School, Centre for Learning and NIOS school, Vidhyasthali school, Digital Study Hall and DIDI’s – A unit of sister’s in Solidarity participated with full zeal and excitement made the celebration grand. All the hearts were filled with pride, respect and the feeling of patriotism.
The flag was hoisted by, Dr.Urvashi Sahni. And seeds of the thought – “Are we really free”, were etched in everyone’s mind.
All the creative minds were at work showcasing their talents in different fields. Students from junior section set up a Maths Mela where they demanded freedom from fear of Maths, whereas the students from Senior section celebrated the freedom of thoughts and expression by taking part in Advertisement Competition. Students from Non Formal Education centres painted their thoughts through flowers and little paper flags while the enthusiastic ones from Dosti danced with dynamism on patriotic songs.
All the teachers, too were dressed up in beautiful tri-coloured attires. Study Hall Educational Foundation celebrated this Independence Day in a different Style spreading Happy Colours of Freedom in everybody’s lives.

Non Formal Education Centres

There is never a dull moment at the Non Formal Education Centres – Gyan Setu’s every month. Last month, children came back after a brief summer vacation and welcomed the rains by making umbrellas out of paper plates and Aaloo Raja. They planted saplings around their centres .They enjoyed clay modelling and children at two centres made lovely clay houses. While learning measurement and time, they made weighing scales and clocks .The Mona Foundation team visited the Anil Brickfield and the Gomti Nagar Railway Station centres and interacted with the children and the community. They were happy to see the children so animated and engrossed in their work.

2016 Intermediate results for Center for Learning

Intermediate results for Study Hall Center for Learning (National Institute of Open Schooling) have been declared for the year 2016. We are delighted to announce a school average of 73% this year.
